Established in 1995, ALT is the largest vehicle-grade LNG producer in the Western United States. Since its inception, it has grown to become a major force in the natural gas industry specializing in vehicle and industrial solutions. ALT provides LNG and CNG product and delivery systems. We execute turnkey fuel solutions, including: equipment leasing, station installations, safety & training, natural gas production, low BTU gas processing, temporary fueling stations, and consulting in the LNG and CNG markets.

Cem Hacioglu has served as director of PNG Ventures, Inc. since August 2008 and president and chief executive officer of Applied LNG Technologies USA, LLC (ALT) since February 2009. Hacioglu was previously a portfolio manager in charge of direct investments for Sandell Asset Management Corp. and Millennium Partners, and also held positions at Fletcher Asset Management, Merrill Lynch and the World Bank. Hacioglu earned a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the United States Military Academy, West Point, and holds an MBA in Financial Management from the MIT’s Sloan School of Management.
Richard Rychlik
Vice President and Principal Accounting Officer
Richard Rychlik joined Applied LNG Technologies USA, LLC (ALT) in September 2009 as vice president, principal accounting officer. He is responsible for managing all aspects of financial operations and reporting for the company. Rychlik has served as controller for a number of public and privately held companies, including those engaged in developing clean technology in the solar and bio-fuels industries. He assisted Internet Brands Inc., an Internet media company, with their successful initial public offering and has implemented accounting and ERP systems at several manufacturing companies. Rychlik earned a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting and Finance from the University of Windsor and a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Toronto.
Kevin Markey
Vice President of Sales
Kevin Markey, vice president of sales for Applied LNG Technologies USA, LLC (ALT) since 2006, has served the Dallas area as a financial executive with an emphasis on operations and logistics area for more than 20 years. He is responsible for ALT LNG sales and vendor relations. Markey currently serves as director for NGVAmerica and previously served as interim president and CEO of ALT’s parent company PNG Ventures from May 2008 until February 2009. He began his career with Phillips Petroleum’s alternative fuels Geothermal Group before heading a variety of start-up companies. More recently, Markey managed a financial turnaround for a consumer products manufacturing company. Markey, a certified public accountant, holds a Bachelor of Science and Arts in Accounting from the University of Texas at Dallas, an MBA from East Texas State University.
Linda Berndt
Vice President of Government and Public Affairs
Linda Berndt serves as vice president of government and public affairs for Applied LNG Technologies (ALT). Berndt has extensive experience over the past twenty-five years having worked for ATT and Southwestern Bell in communications, media relations, and government and public affairs. She has worked closely with a multitude of state and national business and commerce groups, and extensively with a number of state, federal and municipal environmental and regulatory agencies and groups, including Clean Cities’ state and regional associations. She has served on the Texas BioProducts Industry Council, providing input for Texas’ alternative energy policy, and also on the EPA’s Region 6 Blue Skyways Collaborative. Berndt is a graduate of Wharton School’s Executive Development Program at the University of Pennsylvania and earned a Bachelor of Science for both Marketing and Business Management from Oklahoma City University.

Brad Gabbard joined Applied LNG Technologies USA, LLC (ALT) in September 2009 as vice president in charge of special projects deemed strategic to the company. Gabbard was most previously a co-managing member of an advisory firm providing senior managerial and financial advisory services to energy companies. Brad also co-founded Metretek Technologies, Inc, now known as PowerSecure International, Inc. (POWR), where he served in several positions, including director, executive vice president, chief financial officer, and as a director and executive vice president of the company’s principal operating subsidiaries. Gabbard is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Accountancy from the University of Oklahoma.
Greg Dahl
Director of Field Operations
Greg Dahl currently serves Applied LNG Technologies USA, LLC (ALT) / FleetStar, Inc. as director of field operations. Dahl is responsible for the safe operation and maintenance of FleetStar re-fueling stations, the ALT liquefaction plant in Topock, Arizona, and other ALT projects across the western U.S. Dahl was formerly involved in the operation and management of a privately-held hazardous materials transportation fleet and has over 27 years of extensive safety training and experience in handling flammable liquids, compressed gasses, and cryogenics. He joined FleetStar in 1990 and remained with the company after the merger which formed Applied LNG Technologies USA, LLC / FleetStar, Inc. in 1995. Dahl attended Bakersfield College in California.

W. Phillip Marcum is currently chairman of the board of PNG Ventures, Inc. He has served as a principal of MG Advisors, LLC, since April 2007, and was previously chairman of the board, president and chief executive officer of Metretek Technologies, Inc., now known as PowerSecure International, Inc. – POWR, an energy management company he co-founded, from 1991 until April 2007. Marcum currently serves as chairman of the board of ADA-ES, Inc., an environmental technology company, and serves on the board of directors of Key Energy Services, Inc., a well servicing company. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Texas Tech University.

John Levy

John F. Levy is chief executive officer and principal consultant for Board Advisory, a consulting firm assisting public companies, or companies aspiring to be public with corporate governance, corporate compliance, ethics, financial reporting and financial strategies. Levy currently serves as non-executive chairman of the board of directors of Atlas Mining Company, a materials company focused on specialty clays. He also serves on the board of directors of four other public companies, including as a board member and audit committee chairperson of Take Two Interactive Software, Inc., a global developer and publisher of videogames best known for the Grand Theft Auto franchise. Levy authored Focus on Corporate Ethics: Legal and Ethical Responsibilities of Board Members, a course on the ethical and legal responsibilities of board members initially presented to various state accounting societies. He is a certified public accountant with nine years experience with national accounting firms Ernst & Young, Laventhol & Horwath and Grant Thornton. Levy is a graduate of the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and received his MBA from St. Joseph's University in Philadelphia.
Matthew Pliskin

Matthew Pliskin has been a portfolio manager at Sandell Asset Management Corp. since May 2005. He previously was an investment analyst and trader at Millennium Partners where he managed the direct investment portfolio positions. Pliskin additionally held these positions: assistant portfolio manager at Redwood Partners, where he managed positions across various equity strategies; assistant sales-trader on the risk arbitrage desk at Knight Securities; and analyst for Arthur Andersen, where he performed financial due diligence for private equity transactions. Pliskin graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Pennsylvania State University.

Corey Davis is managing director and head of capital raising for Merger & Acquisition Capital Services, a boutique advisory firm providing investment-banking services to the insurance sector. He also serves as a member of Gerson Lehrman Group's Council of Experts, advising private equity, hedge fund and money management firms. Davis was formerly president of Barrington Capital Advisors, LLC, which provided financial advice to small and medium sized organizations; principal in the Investment Banking Division of Banc of America Securities LLC, responsible for relationship building and transaction execution for accounts in the insurance and reinsurance sector; and vice president in the financial institutions group of Credit Suisse First Boston. Davis earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, graduating cum laude, from Georgetown University, and holds an MBA from Harvard University Graduate School of Business Administration.
